Location: Pines Lake, Wayne Twp., New Jersey

Description: My clients purchased a dated ranch house on a spectacular 2.5 acre lot, containing a peninsula on Pines Lake. It was there desire to create a two story Lake front home that will fit in with the character of the charming wooded lake site and serve as their vacation home for now with future plans to retire in this secluded Shangri-La. The home has been designed in a “Lake Cottage style” with rustic earth tone colors and finishes, to look like it has always been there. The house contains 5608 sf. of Living area on two stories, 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, an attached apartment over the garage and a wrap around covered porch with a lap pool. The house has been designed with an open flowing floor plan for entertaining, and takes advantage of the panoramic lake views. We had to design around many parameters including NJDEP waterfront development rules and local municipality constraints as well as the lake association regulations. In the end this will truly be one of the finest weekend retreats on Pines Lake.
